Shared facilities, shared expertise
North Wales is a hive of creative talent. But with facilities concentrated in the major cities, local filmmakers have been known to travel miles to access studio space.
So in 2017, we joined forces with a team of creatives to found a new production centre – Shed Felinheli.
For DocShed and our co-founders, this co-operative approach adds an economy of scale. We can raise production standards without over-reaching on budget – and as a result, stand side by side with larger independents.
INFINITY CURVE
We have a versatile studio with an infinity curve for film and TV shoots.
EDIT SUITE
We have edit suites, with post-production tools to rival any facility.
CREATIVES AT WORK
And we’re a hub, where local freelancers divide their time between projects.
A free communal space
The Shed is more than a creative haven – it also plays a key role in community life. We stage charity nights for sports clubs, provide a social spot for the elderly, and now and then we’ll host the local kintergarten too.
Not for profit - just to do some good as we go about our business.
A showcase for local talent
With a moveable screen, we’re the coolest boutique cinema in North Wales – a space where local filmmakers can premieré their work. And live performers flock to us. We run comedy galas, music nights, book readings… even cookery demonstrations.
It’s all about bringing audiences and talented people together.
